Being privileged to meet Minister Paolo, an essential minister of the body of Christ through worship, he shared his view about the importance of award winning which should not be seen as a reward that makes one minister better than the other.
Read what he shared with LEVIN LARTEY of Online Christian Gospel (OCG NEWS).
He said : “The fundamental thing we need to ask ourselves as Ministers of the Gospel is; Why have you been called and what is your mission?.
I believe our answer to these two questions determines our efforts and moves.”
He continued that if one would understand that ‘you are first called’- as a Priest to preach the Gospel and to make disciples, then your focus will not be on fame. This is not to say that fame and recognition is not important but it is not the core measure of impact or success.
He who called us will lift our heads when He deems it fit. The focus is not to please men or to win awards, hence, it is to make sure that as a you would please God as a Gospel Musician
by following His instructions and expect your reward from Him.”
He went on saying on, within the Gospel domain winning awards doesn’t fund the ministry; God does. If you ask me how, I can’t explain but He does. If He wants you to fund His ministry through awards- He will give you awards, simple.
Minister Paolo emphasised on the fact that if the focus is to win awards then one will end up producing songs that appeal to fleshly desires and not the spirit but the mantle of a Gospel musician is the anointing he or she carries.
Winning an award is just to make it known that your works (PRODUCTION) has made an impact on men and it is very encouraging.”
